Photos from Symington House

Hello!

Here are some photos from our interview/research. I'll add the voice recordings tomorrow hopefully!

I got more photos of each door but I'm sure you don't want ALL to be seen here =_=; if you want them let me know and I'll email them to you! =)

Notes from Symington house interviews!

Hi guys!, I've uploaded the notes from the seven people me, Karen and Sonya interviewed at Symington House today. You might not be able to understand everything I've written but some of the main points that were brought up repeatedly were that:
  • It's generally a friendly atmosphere in the building.

  • Most interaction between residents is through school connections.
  • A lot of young children who need a play area (which could also accommodate parents.)

  • Symington House is approximately 90% foreign born residents.

  • Residents found the building to be safer than they initially assumed

  • E & C regeneration hasn't affected the area around the housing estate much.

  • Residents would like activites for people of different ages (Workshops, leisure centre, community events etc.)
  • Nobody seemed opposed to contributing a object or photo relating to their identity

Group Bread

I don't have any photos from that day that I can post.
So here is a pretty picture of bread instead:

Also as some fodder for thought, http://www.antennadesign.com/ant.html
Nice installation and environmental design work by a design firm in New York, ANTENNA. Might be useful to look at in terms of interaction in public spaces.

Have a lovely weekend. See you Monday folks :)
